Sarah offers fun, fast and effective methods to improve your playing. With decades of experience behind her as a musician (sax, vocals, clarinet, bass, piano, drums, flute, guitar, sound engineer), ten years experience of music teaching (both in schools and privately), and a degree from the University of London in Speech Science (BSc (hons) 1993), Sarah can quickly pinpoint and correct any problems, and help you improve faster than you could believe possible!

Whether you want to work for exams or just for fun...Whether you're a beginner or advanced...Whether you're young or old... Sarah can help!

Sarah has worked with various big names such as Bad Manners, Paulo Nutini, Fairport Convention, Van Tramp, Carvin Jones and Ron Trueman-Border. Sarah teaches saxophone, clarinet and singing from The Pod School of Music studios in Heathfield, from Mayfield, or in your own home. Sarah is renowned for her improvisational skills and is equally at home in an informal blues jam or a large stage setting. Reaching Grade 8 on the Clarinet in the early 80's, and working professionally as a musician since the mid 90's, Sarah has almost 3 decades of experience as a wind instrumentalist. Sarah's onstage presence is one of someone who feels completely at home, and loves what she does. In Sarah's words, 'stage fright is the fear of being offstage'. For two years in a row, Sarah's songs have reached the finals and semi-finals of the UK Songwriting contest, beating over 6000 other entries in their eventual positions. Sarah is always willing to consider dep. work, session work, and any other playing opportunities. Please don't hesitate to make contact.

Because you KNOW you've always wanted to play!
